I want to swap out my (2) 4x54w 48" T5's for a comparable set of Par 38's. I see them for sale all over the place, but no comparison studies.

I don't need these for actinic accents. I'll have vho's for that. I'll need between 10k and 16k.

1.Is there a Brand comparison study out there?

2.Do they make a Par 38 that has a wide enough output to cover a 2ft square section?

3. Will the LED have enough punch to keep their par through acrylic (if I can't position them perfectly over the holes)?

4. What's everybody's favorite online store to buy these at?

5. Can I get away with $500 or less to light this tank?

6.What are optics and can I buy them with the light or do I need to buy them seperately?

Thanks,
Tom
