90 Gallon Aqueon with overflow.
Eshopps RS-100

Previously had a 90 gallon which flourished with bubble tips and clowns. Tank went to hell in 2020 during COVID. Restart the tank but found the glass had cracked. Everything else was still good so I bought a new tank (also 90 gallon) and am working to rebuild.

This is my starting point. I have the tank cycling right now, with salinity right at 1.026 and the temp at 76 Fahrenheit. Hoping to get fish in around Christmas time. Will start with two ocellaris clowns and then move on to inverts. Happy to take advice on stocking, wondering if people have had success with reef cleaning kits (snails, crabs, etc.) or better to piecemeal. I'm close to Milwaukee and Chicago so going to a LFS for livestock is always an option.

Have you used Aquatics Unlimited on Hwy 110 in Greenfield. Good lfs. Best Fish on the east side of Milwaukee.

Welcome to R2R.
Assuming you are cycling rock and sand with a bottle of bacteria, should be easy to go for Xmas if not now.

Snails I love but just very few.

Crabs are not on my list. Way, way too much damage in the long run. Maybe some are OK, me, I trust not one.

The best CUC I’ve ever had is my micro processors, those guys you can’t see (mostly) building diverse populations which keep our rocks clean and sand white.

I few snails for fun, sure.

Love the clown idea upfront. And once you stabilize your system, a BTA for a home.

Enjoy

Absolutely love them. Staff are super helpful. Bought most of my livestock from them. Hope to get a BTA from them once my tank is more established.

Love your clown BTA pic. Can't wait to get bubble tip back in the tank. Of course want the tank well established before I go that route.

Not as hard as they say.
As soon as chemistry is stable and you can keep it that way, then, great time to add.
Enjoy
