If you read my profile, then you can get an idea of my background. I haven't messed with tanks in years and now that I'm on up in years I thought you only get old once...right ? So why not l have a 75 gallon tank with a custom built stand and hood. Also have a stack of all new equipment to get started with. I can give you guys a list of the things that I have if that would help in figuring out what else I need. I can post pics of that will help. Oh.... and all the help from you guys will be so much appreciated in getting this tank off and running.

Well after some setbacks like putting in new waterproof flooring, I finally finished my tank leak test. Reset the tank on the stand and started some rock work. One more good interior cleaning and I will start putting in rock and sand. I am leaving the canopy off until after lighting is installed. Well actually after almost everything is installed, tested and up and running.

Sump most definitely. I ran just filters on all my tanks years ago until I built my 350 gallon and it's been sumps all the way since then. Once I have the rock and sand in, I can set the refugium and start laying out the plumbing design.

Finally have my rock in the tank. Slow go process but good things come to those who wait...right? You may notice the small squares of egg crate attached to spots on the rock. I do this only to the pieces weighing over five pounds. It helps to distribute the pressure of the glass to rock touch points. Now I need to get my sand rinsed and in the tank. If anyone sees anything that may look better than the rock layout that I have, please feel free to let me know.
