A BOO-tiful surprise! Waterbox 110

Found an amazing surprise on the marketplace this morning. A Waterbox 110, exactly what I had been shopping for. I had originally planned to buy new and was slowly trying to get it together. Then came this one- only a few years old, priced amazingly well, and pretty much a blank slate. Contacted seller and they were moving the tank today so they agreed to deliver it for me. (!!!!!) I am a little overwhelmed because I was not expecting anything to happen that fast, and now there is a mostly-empty giant reef tank in my living room and that is the last thing I expected when I woke up this morning.

I had to work this morning and they called to say they were on their way just as I was finishing work. I had to rush home and make room so now it looks like a tornado went through my living room.

My current tank is a Fluval Flex 32.5. Its current inhabitants can see their new home from across the room... If they can see that far, which to be fair hey probably can't. Well maybe the blenny can. He sees everything.

I'm probably crazy. Yes.

Items it came with:
tank & stand in white
custom lid to keep fish in (or my naughty cat out)
three x Smatfarm G6 140 W lights (have another one on my fluval 32.5 so this works out for now)
Chaeto light & I think some Chaeto
heater & controller (haven't gotten in the cabinet yet)
ice cap wave maker
Pro Clear Aquatic Systems Redflex Reef Sump 200

Things I have yet to figure out:
getting a 3/4 inch layer of wet old thin kinda stinky sand out
how to hook up the tank piping to the sump
getting Chaeto section running (I am currently growing phytoplankton and copepods under my Flex in jars)
choosing new sand (want the heavier special sand but unsure of best option)
ATO
literally everything else

I might just need words of encouragement at this point. I am sure to be peppering the forums with questions for the next couple of months!

Not much progress today. Ive decided on Caribs Special Grade Reef Sand. I have a watchman goby and a pistol shrimp pair and they love to burrow. I got all the individual mechanical parts that came with the tank and pulled out and cleaned everything (return pump, wave maker, weir, filter socks ewww) . Sump is sitting on my patio waiting for a clean up and de-lousing. Hopefully tomorrow ;)

Tank transfer happened today, washed all the sand yesterday. Moved filter components yesterday, fish/CUC/rocks today. I will need more rock but will need to wait and let things settle in the tank .

Ordered the Tunze Osmolator 3 as ATO. Hopefully Santa will bring me some new lights.

Hopefully my pistol shrimp shows up. He was missing for a long time the last time I moved rocks around. Didn't see him in the old sand bed.

Pierogi the Benny is not too impressed. Tough crowd. So much of my coral popped off during the transfer. Ugh.

Happy with my D-D jumpguard pro. Sorry to thread back but you don’t have to spend $600 on a custom lid. I mean what if your corals grow in and you need more lights or cut outs for power heads. Then you’re out $600. The jumpguard is easily modified as well for future needs.
$600 is a lot of fish and coral!

My pistol shrimp is never seen, only heard. Great start!
