Can anyone say why my chalice has holes missing in it and brown jelly oozing from the holes?!

+1 the holes are probably just the mouths fully open to release waste. It happens after a good feeding.

I would agree with them.

If it spreads, though, you could have brown jelly disease, in which case you will need to start dipping. Wait and see. :)
