This our reef over 12yrs ago. Life changes ...Cancer, My Mrs lost her fight. That changed everything, something id rather not get into, The system became neglected and eventually livestock was moved on and the system lay dormant for the best part of 12 yrs or so. It was setup with freshwater , discuss, malawi etc..but wasn't as satisfying.

My Mrs loved the Yellow tang (zebrasoma flavescens) ....
Nov 25/Jan 26 A complete overhaul was done. Out of the whole system only the display was in need of a reseal(being 15yrs since i built) i did this christmas day 2025 believe it not, folks having christmas dinner and i was inside my display resealing lol
There is a lot of history in this build past and present that im not to fussed to document any longer. I just hope i can enjoy this resurrection and see it flourish as it did back in 2012!
I often use the term system. This is because everything was thought of within this build, Gravity top off, salt mixing , over flow safety etc. you turn taps, drain 20% and refill 20%. It was childs play.....It Still is
This for new reefers especially. Keep going, this is more of an expensive hobby than it was way back in 2005 when i set up my 1st reef. Don't give up, you have spent a small fortune seeking that small part of the ocean within your abode. Life in nature is phenominal, especially something many will never experience but only dream. There is a tranquilty within Sealife...
