So i was thinking of using a turkey baster to cleanup dead diatoms off the sand bed and blow them off the rock to help move the cleanup along a bit faster thoughts on this?

I would suck them out instead of blowing them around. The'll just end up somewhere else and restart the cycle again.

Ive got quite a bit of circulation in the tank if they ended up on the sand bed i would get them with the baster in the water column they would end up in my filter sock. Also im not looking to do a water change so i was thinking of siphoning the water into my filter sock and back into the system pickup the dirty keep the water.
