New Equipment:
  • I’ve updated the lighting to an AI Prime. Seeing a big difference in coloration and coral happiness over the TruLumen strips.
  • Jebao RW-4 Wavemaker - This thing gives off a lot of flow for such a small unit. It was really stirring up the tank (and not in a good way). I finally got it tuned nicely and it is getting some great circulation over the Polario.
New Livestock:
  • Tricolor Valida Acropora
  • Bowser Zoas
  • Mary Jane Palys
  • Unknown pink skirt/greyish-purple centered zoas

On a side note, I nearly lost my entire Devil’s armor colony due to a brown fungus, but after a Revive treatment, a Furon 2 bath, and a couple of rounds with hydrogen peroxide, it is finally coming back.

Also: I have some babies from my beautiful gold & teal yuma ricodeas (lower left of the photo above). Never seen anything like these guys. They are gorgeous! PM me if you’re interested.

Heater failure (overheating) lost me the big ORA Green Birdsnest on the left and my sun coral. It also did some damage to my Rainbow Acans, but I’m hopeful they will come back. Adding some new zoas and acros now and an Apex later today. Fingers crossed.
