First and foremost, here is Abby!

68 gallon sump
Herbie Overflow w 1in outside return line
Aquatic Life 4 x 80 watt T5’s plus 4 x 360x LED’s

Currently trying to get the return line wrapped around the back. The main obstacle so far is the euro brace. I would rather not drill it, so I may end up using a 1in lock line and split it out as a Y to push the flow out of the sides of the overflow box.

In addition, my light fixture is about .5 inch longer than my hood. So now I’m trying to cut a slot on both sides and figure some way to permanently brace it.

Built for a durso, but converting to herbie with return around the back. My one regret so far is not getting 3 holes in the overflow but it’s really not that big of a deal. Just some extra plumbing.

I purchased two of these bad boys for my mixing station. I saved $200 on shipping by driving to Columbus, OH and picking up directly. I found a really nice reef shop over there as well!

I also received my plumbing order. I’m dry fitting that and stuck on a design choice for the return line. I would like to snake it back through the overflow box but I will have to custom bend the PVC pipe for this to work due to the euro brace.

Finally wired up my RO/DI system. I’m running this to a pressurized drinking water tank before the DI and the water is so clean and amazing!


280 TDS from the main line
263 TDS after pre filter and chloramines monster unit.
6 TDS after RO
0 TDS after DI
