I'm not too far away from their facility they ship from in NJ (I'm in MD), so ordered a few nice looking specimens from them on Ebay.
First issue was that they only send Standard Overnight, and not Priority Overnight - never really seen that before from an online LFS with fish/coral. Standard means delivery by 8pm to residences. Priority is delivery by 10:30am, which I've come to expect as the norm.
Regardless of that, the first shipment I received had a water temp of 89 degrees upon receipt. A heat pack was in the box, but it was put right on the bags. Usually there is some layer of insulation between the coral/fish and heat packs when I receive them. So I'm assuming with the heat pack right on the bag, it generated too much heat (temps were only about 50 degrees outside, so a heat pack was necessary). Everything dead.
So they decide to send a replacement. Temps in the 30's last night - and this time they sent it with no heat pack. So, as you can imagine, dead again, water temp at 60 degrees when received in the middle of the sunny afternoon. Chances are it was even lower earlier today/last night. On top of that, they only sent half the replacement order (which is a good thing I guess, IMO nothing is surviving).
Tried explaining this to them - but they just responded that they've shipped the same way for years with little to no issues, and they send out dozens of packages a week. So not a good experience at all with them, shipping wise at least.
