Acan coloration question

Why is it when my acans are plump they lose all of their coloration? As soon as I moved the acans off a rock they shrunk and you could see all of the rainbow colors again.

This is completely true.The color will decrease when they start to full themselves with water .
If you use some royal blue lightning in your tang their color would be more attractive .
