Got this guy about 2-3 days ago still hasn't opened while everything else in the tank is and new pieces , do acans usually take a longer time to open?

It's a beautiful color. I think it's not liking where it's placed. I'd try putting it on the substrate for a few days to weeks to acclimate.

Would you mind posting your testing values?

Everything is on par expect the PH at 8.0 which I already added buffer to raise - Yes it's beautiful I would be very sad if anything happened to it...

I would move it to an area of less light until it's adjusted to your lights. Once it's acclimatised to them you should be able to move it to where you want, within reason. This is what I do with mine

Okay so you think it's still acclimating?

Very good chance of it. When they don't inflate and stay tight in the skeleton its from too much light. Moving it is the easiest thing to try. Your ph is fine mine stays around 8

Awesome ! Thanks...

It could have to much light or flow. Move it down and try a little shady spot. See how it dose. Start Acans low and work them over time if you want them higher in the tank. I love Acans and they are sometimes different where they want to be placed based on color my orange and gray Acan likes the sand with light to moderate flow and moderate light. Good luck.

It looks like my acan. Isnt it open? My 2 acans wont eat and I never see sweeper tentacles either. I am afriad they may be dying but they look fine, maybe not as puffy as when I got one of them anyway. My blasto same thing. I found an aptasia under my blasto frag and acan in question. I removed it out of the tank and put on another frag plug. I think they may have been dead when I got them. The one that I got from somewhere else I know is alive beacuse I did see his tentacles come out tonight when light were out, so I tried to feed him reef roids. I think he might have got some but the other acan and blasto no change. I poked the acan and he shriveled at that spot and it puffed back later, does that mean he is alive. Do they close up all the way like zoas do. My only other corals are zoas
