Hi folks,

Have had my current setup for the last 3 years with no significant changes.

Issue seems to be isolated to my Acan lords.

Symptoms: always open and puffy however Acan seems to receed from inside out.eventually the flesh will just detach. up to the end the Acan is puffy and sweepers fully extend.

No other coral in my system has issues (SPS, other LPS, and softs).

I have my weekly routine of 5gal water change and feed fish accordingly.

I do not dose nor use KAWLK.

depressing to see my Sexy and Cherry Acan collection fade, please help.

Beautiful rock work and tank. Can you be real specific on your parameters and salinity. I have had problems with lords after alk swings. Also could be that pesky Australian black bug thing from a few years ago. You would treat whole tank with interceptor but I think they stopped making it . any crabs or shrimp in tank I have seen a video of a peppermint shrimp munching on a acan a long time ago .sorry for being all over the place just trying to help. Also it's starting to cool down outside is your temp staying stable

Hi Chappy,

Really appreciate your help and quick response.

Everything you mentioned is something I need to look into, especially temp swings.

I will get back on all your suggestions except for the black bugs, not sure how to check to scope these guys out.

Best,
Dennis
