Acan pest?

Recently added several acans, Bayer dipped. 2 of the same variety (horror show) have gone south. Kind of deflating, losing flesh. Acan has gone from this

To looking bad. pulled the one that is looking better (other is a goner) cause it looked like something in the center. Took some top down pics in a cup to try and be able to blow it up.

Is that a pest or just skeleton peeking through? Can't decide. Anyone have any idea?

While I had the acan out i pulled that mass and put under my microscope (at 3x I can see some kinda larva). You can click on this pic and it will take you to the Flikr image where you can zoom in. Any feedback is appreciated.
