since when? I always left the masked crabs in my acros-they never hurt them one bit...crabs in general seem to be questionable at best but I never had one issue with those crabs that live in the acros-mine were usually white with band on their face-and I have no idea on the red bugs though

Acro crabs won't hurt your acros. If you've got an acro crab wannabe, it might. ID'ing the crab is the first step to making sure it is a good one or a bad one (they can look a lot a like).

I do agree with you on ID'ing them, but here are hundreds of them out there and to ID them is almost imposible sometimes. So to be on the safe side I always take them out of the tank.

I have an acro crab in an acropora deswali. It was in the coral when I purchased it about a year ago. Both the coral and the crab are just fine.

only thing that will work to totally get rid of them is interceptor can you pull them and treat in a separate tank? as far as crabs most are beneficial to there host or at least don't hurt them but watch out for blue eye fuzzy teddy bear crabs.

I HEARD IF YOU TREAT IN SEPARATE TANK THERE CAN STILL BE SOME IN MAIN SYSTEM AND WILL JUST GET BACK ON THE ACROS

Fish will not cure a redbug problem. Seeing a few bugs means you will be seein many more in the near future if you dont do something about it. Interceptor in tank is the only thing that works.

What Is The Best Way To Dose The Interceptor? Do I Have To Worry Too Much About The Mass Loss Of Invert Life Forms?
