Hi all,
My tank has been up for over a year. It is starting to consume quite a but the last few weeks. So I got a bit of KH swings going around. The same with my flow. I created a small standing wave with 2 SLW10s, and an AOW5 which is on random. It is in a 55 gallon tank. So I guess it aint my turnover or waves. Nothing is blasting at it, but it gets quite a bit of flow. I am using an A8se II pro LED. Its the XR30 replica, it runs at 50% with the colors are 45% as well. 6 hours of full spectrum and some blues before and after.
My montipora do grow, just got them with the acropora together like 3 weeks ago. I got a monti cap before those like 6 weeks ago and this shows growth as well. It aint much but it is growing.
My softies and Lps do show growth, my coraline algae has picked up hardcore as well the last few weeks. Atleast tripled in growth.
I dose 10ML of AFR atm.
Is it to much light? To little? Is it the alk swings? Even if my tank is 13 months old am I still to early? I would love to grow acropora.. but yes I do think I am kinda failing atm.
It is getting white tips as well, it shows just the polyps popping up but not full on..
My nutrients are “high” but stable, I use a roller filter, skimmer and UV.
