Found an old thread about the company. Had its ups and downs but the original owner bought the company back and seen to be making quality products again. I'm just looking for an aquarium that's not prone to leaking.

Have you looked into Advanced Acrylics? They have super nice acrylic tanks

I have a 24x24 frag tank from them as well and thought the same thing but then I saw their displays in person with the museum quality polished edges and rounded corners and it’s definitely on a higher class than their normal acrylic tanks
I used Midwest custom aquariums for my acrylic and was happy. If you find a builder near you, you could skip the shopping cost :)

They sent me a free nano tank before to review & promote, it was sloppy and poorly constructed. Granted a bigger/expensive tank would prob be given more attention

I paid $4300 in January for a custom tank and still no tank. He las lied and even sent a fake bill of laden. He now blocks my calls and refuses to communicate. I'm out over 4k.
I just submitted complaints to the BBB and Orange County DA. I am not alone.
Do a Google search before you deal with him.

I’m not discrediting you because I have heard stories locally, but I don’t have the same experience. So far he’s been super responsive to me. He gave me a steal on two custom tanks. Has updated me with progress pictures. The first tank would’ve shipped on schedule but I added a second tank to my order and both are shipping together which is the only reason there is a delay. Did you pay your order in full? I only gave a 60% deposit for both tanks.
I paid almost all of it up front. I bought a tank from him the previous year and all was great. I trusted him. Now it's been 10 months and he's blocked my phone. He was sending me pictures and even a bill of laden, that turned out to be fake, the shipping company had no record if it. He was just lying about some of it, saying he'd shipped it and when I'd call, he would refuse to pick up. I don't understand it. He refuses to even communicate. I'm out over 4k to him.

Were you given the option to put down a deposit considering you had done business before? Or you just wanted to pay the 4150 upfront? Obviously not your fault, but a trend I see is the people who have issues are the ones who paid all upfront. I paid 60% and the rest due upon shipment. First time ordering from them. Not unique to AA, but usually vendors will work faster so they can get full payment lol. Once they’ve been paid in full, there’s no sense of pressure to finish fast
I wasn't given any such option. I didn't really expect this because the last deal went through without a hitch. Now it doesn't seen delayed. Not a matter of speed, I would think 10 months is plenty of time, and now no communication.

This is wild. I was actually going to have John build me a custom sump, but had to delay it due to medical reasons. This makes me partially happen I essentially blew out my shoulder and had to delay the purchase. I guess I will likely build one myself out of glass instead. Glass cages keeps coming across as the best option for custom tanks now.
I'm working with John on a quote for one now, glad I saw this thread....I previously used Titan Exhibits, who are great, but also $$$

I just got two tanks made by John recently. I ordered one first and then he gave me a good deal on a second so I got two lol. He sent them out on time and was responsive to all my texts. Tanks came in looking amazing
