The second picture looks like router marks, if this seam was properly adhered the router lines would not be visible as they would "melt" into the seam.

I agree with what MaddyP said. If the seams were properly welded there would be no bubbles and not marks. The white is where the panes are not sealed together. The two pieces should basically melt together clear, not white or milky/cloudy.

So I have not heard anything back yet but did receive input from a trusted source regarding these seems. His feedback was that not enough glue was used at those sites but that the bond in the surrounding area looks solid, and would be very unlikely to fail.

That being said, and since I have zero interest in breaking down the tank I am moving forward for the time being. The tank is running and hasn't shown any other areas for concern.

More updates to comes....

Not necessarily. if the panels are routed properly, AND welded properly, you won't see any marks.

Unfortunately, this tank is headed for disaster.

So, I just sent an email to Dan and David at AC and stated that I wanted to return the tank. Since I am building this tank into a wall I really don't think I (or my wife) should have to lose sleep over a brand new aquarium that might leak.

That message was literally just sent so we will see how they respond.

I received a call back from Acrylic Creations and they offered to remake the tank at their expense.
I have not decided yet if that is what I will do, but I am mostly pleased with this response.

that's great customer service that's a lot of money he's eating and willing to ship it out for you at no cost I would definitely say that's a good company. If it was me I'd be happy with that especially if he doesn't want you to ship the tank back to him now you have all that acrylic you could cut it into off each scene and have a brand new tank just weld it yourself

I would need to return the tank still at my expense but they would ship the new one back at theirs. I think it's still pretty fair considering I did not report for three months after delivery.

No that's still a very good compromise all that matters is you end up with the tank you wanted for the price you agreed on

Update on the replacement tank? They seem amazingly reasonable.
Update from anyone else on their tanks from them?

We have a sump and tank from them, seams on the sump opening everywhere, air pockets in seams on the tank itself. Tons of sharp edges, have been literally cut dozens on times. Sump is being replaced soon and the issues with the tank really worry me but it won't be replaced anytime soon. Besides that it's not bad.
