I have built a few different pico and nano tank already, even a few fugues and sumps for friends.

I am wanting to build a 24H x 30W x 30D tank.. I believe that I will be needing something between 3/4 and 1 inch acrylic.

Here is my question.. I will be building this in place with little movement, but will I see the same thickness for the bottom of the tank? Like if I use 1 inch could I get away with 3/4 to 1/2 inch for the bottom? I will have it flat on wood so there is no bow or give to it..

Just wondering if it would work or if I should use the same thickness throughout all of the tank.

Just with my brain I would think with a really solid stand \ base. I would assume the bottom could be thinner. I'm no structural engineer though I'm just a fabricator.

I would say 1/2" should be sufficient I have a shallow frag tank 72"x18"x12" have maybe 1/8"
Bow over entire length

Thank for the help... just trying to figure out what all I want to do now... This project will take me into the next year with the planing and thoughts before I get it rolling... I kind of want to grow out a few mangroves for it.
