I bought that big controller board thing from Adaptive Reef, and the shelf is in the way. Short of a Sawzall, how would I go about removing one of the shelves. Note that it does not go all the way through the board; other side is flat.

Thanks!

Assuming the back side is flat, draw out what you want cut out. Drill a hole in the corners that will fit a jig saw blade. Use a jig saw to cut out what you don't want.

It ended up being soft enough to Dremel it and sand over the cut. Not the cleanest looking thing, but now there's an energy bar in front.

But thanks for the input! Next time I will try a jigsaw; that's probably the smarter way.

Curious how this ended up looking, is this wood material or some sorta plastic composite? Guess my question really is when you cut/dremeled it was it still back or what?

I've been interested in buying one of these and sorta chopping it up as it's probably better material than some standard wood painted.

It’s more like plastic, with enough pressure you can snap these off and then sand it
