Shout out to Adaptive Reef for making this RMS-AI Blade bracket. It works well & is super easy to install. I have a 30" wide tank & have 3 XR15 & 2 Kessil A360X. Should have went XR30 as I've never liked how dark the two long sides of the tank were. Added 2 Glow & 2 Grow and I'm liking it a lot.
I do want to shame Adaptive Reef's CS a bit though. They make this bracket. I sent them an email with a rendering that I made of this bracket with the XR15's drawn in, the Blades drawn in, dimensions for everything on there & sent it to them asking what they thought. The next day I got a reply email full of discouragement. Don't try do this, it will not work, that's not what this is made for. I replied asking for further explanation as according to the dimensions of the bracket & lights & the spacing between everything, it seems it should work just fine, unless I am missing something?? To this day, no reply.
So I ran it by BRS CS & they thought it was a great idea. They didn't know anyone who had tried this but according to my render, it should work fine. They even said if I buy everything & can't make it work, I can always return it.
So here is the finished product! Took all of about an hour and a half from unboxing to hung & lit. These things REALLY brighten up the tank. I wonder if Adaptive Reef even looked at the rendering that I sent?? Anyway, this is my Christmas present to me!
