Alright so I got a green spotted pufferfish, flame angelfish, Valentini puffer, two ocellaris clownfish, and yeah that’s it. They’re in my 36 gallon tank, and I want a Midas blenny, but I don’t know if it’s safe for my fish with the venom and all, and if it’s a good tank size. Thanks

You can probably get away with it, but I still think don’t do it.

Thirty six gallons is ~7 gallons per fish and alll of them like plenty of room to swim and eat and hide, and there really isn’t much room to hide for anyone in a 36 gallon tank.

The trajectory of many tanks is to continue adding “one more fish” because we see another fish that we like and the tank has been ok with the first addition, and the next…until we get to the last fish that we add and all hlle breaks loose because the fish we had packed into the tank have reached (finally) their limit of being crushed into a few gallons of swimming water and they start fighting to die or live free from those other fish that we stuck them in a tank with.

End of non-specific targeted rant on common fish stocking practices and how many of us think about the process without seeing the common pattern of tank failures that is repeated in this hobby.

Respectively

Others may feel differently, but that's an already overstocked 36 gallon tank, and you'd be adding a very peaceful blenny to a very aggressive tank.

Again, just my opinion you're at your max if not a bit over. All the fish you have now can be very aggressive, including and especially the Clownfish. I don't believe a Midas Blenny would be a good addition here, but again, others may feel differently.

Yeah I get your trying to just keep my fish safe, but I know my fish, the clowns are grown and non aggressive even in a pair, and yeah everyone else but the flame angelfish is peaceful, especially the green spotted pufferfish

JMO but the fame angel should be in a larger tank. Are your clowns spawning yet?
Personally I hate aggression in my tanks so don't push the envelope when it comes to stocking. I'm not one of those lets try it and and if it works fish keepers because it usually doesn't end well IME. Now that I have 5 tanks running including a 330g I can take chances because I can move fish around if needed. With a single tank I like to be conservative with my stocking plan. I guess I'm in @Fish Fan camp.

Thanks for the advise, yeah the clowns had one time where they spawned, but they ate them when they hatched smh. And yeah I also hate aggression, but I chose my fish carefully, and thanks for the advise again
