I have a young Yellow tang from Biota. It’s doing really well. Been in my tank for 4 weeks. My lfs has a sailfin tang they got a couple weeks ago. It’s doing good. Looks good. Same size as my yellow tang. Good idea to add it with my yellow? If so, is the best way with an acclimation box? I don’t want continued fighting. What can be expected with 2 tangs? The yellow is my first tang I’ve ever had. I use to despise the tang body shape but it grew on me over the years.

What size is your tank?
Can you post a picture of your tank and aquascape?
This information will be helpful to anyone trying to advise you on whether a Sailfin Tang is appropriate for your tank.

As @littlefoxx mentioned above, they get quite large. Without knowing the size of your setup it is hard to recommend such a fish.

I have a 220 too. But after researching adult size, it’s too small too.

I have a 220 too. Probably best not to take your advice without all the facts.

It would go in my 220. But after researching adult size, that tank isn’t big enough.

Mine is in a 300 gallon display. She was stunted because her previous owner had her in a 90 gallon for 6 years and rehomed her because she was knocking all the frags off. I think she is starting to grow again in my tank 🙂 my purple is about 5 inches for reference
