I just wanted to post up my progression shot of my AC Hypnotic acan. Got it from Addicting Corals, and it is so sick!

When I first got it (3/17/2011)

Almost have the entire plug filled up already! If only it would pop one or two heads up on the right side of the plug. Maybe I need to turn the plug 180 degrees or something

That is a nice can what lighting do you have it under?

Thanks! It is under a 4 bulb Tek T5 setup, but photos were taken as follows:

First photo was LED only (Power Brite) taken with a point and shoot camera with manual white balance

Second photo was with T5's and the LEDs (Power Brite) taken with my D90 in RAW format... A little editing in Apple's Aperture to make it a little less blue.

Nice growth Scott! That acan has some really nice color........

Thanks for all the comments everyone! I am happy that so far it has pretty much kept its colors. So many acans seem to lose their colors. It could just be because I only have 4 T5s on my tank and they are on the sandbed, who knows. But I am definitely happy with the growth and color of these ones!

+1 the colors you have coming out of that are phenomenal.

great job with the photography work as well :)

sweet, it lightened up a bit but still looks gorgeous.

I'm thinking my D90 shots are more realistic than my manually white balanced point and shoot. I also think raising my magnesium a little over a month ago didn't do good things to my tank either (a lot of my z's and p's seem bleached, etc). I am working on keeping my mag more stable now that the bryopsis "outbreak" is gone.

I don't know what the deal is with my tank and acans but I can never get them to stay happy. I've got about 40 chalices and favias but acans always get stressed. Maybe it's because my magnesium is higher. I've got it around 1550-1600.
