Adding Blades to AI Hydra Edge

Having a really hard time finding out what parts to use to add AI Blades to my two existing AI Hydra Edge 44's. Is this possible?

You need to add this Item plus 2 bars to hold the Blades

Right now I just have the two 44s on single neck brackets from the back of the tank. To add the blades I'll need to get the full tank kit that mounts to the left and right?

Yes either that or build your own and use a hanging kit

I'm running a single HMS light mount with an Edge 44HD on the front using the Edge top mounting bracket, although you could also use the rear mounting bracket to push it out further if your tank has enough width. I have two Blade lights behind the Edge, with each one connected with one of the clips. If you have two brackets, you would just clip the Blades between the two single arm mounts top piece.

Not sure yet. My Edge 44's are only getting 200 PAR max at the top and down around 45 at the bottom. Trying to get up to 275-300 on the acros at the top and light up some of the over shadowed areas at the bottom.

That seems pretty low. How deep of a tank are you using these on and how high off the water are they mounted? What sort of profile are you running now?

I'm about to attach one Grow and one Glow to my Hydra Edges. (I have 44 + 68 + 44). It'll probably make the whole tank glow like a nuclear blast. But the clams may like it!

Even though there are 3 Hydra Edges, I'm going to use (or at least attempt) to use only 2 Blade mounting kits, so 4 "bars." I'm thinking 2 on the center Edge 68 and one each on the 44s. The photo here is perfect to show me exactly how all these pieces attach. Aquaillumination provides the most basic - derogatory - instructions online. (Zero instructions are included with the mounts.) I was even sure if I would still need to use the C brackets that were needed to install the Edges in the first place and now I see that yes! (I have a multi light rail, by the way.) We shall see how this goes!

BUT WAIT! The screw you used to attach the Blade mount to the original C mount - is that a screw that came with the mount or did you use your own? It looks like a different color, so it may be your own. Because frankly, none of the screws they provide seem to really fit in that spot.... And I think their instructions diagram is wrong. It says to use screw C to attach the 4 brackets to the mount (step 2) and then use C to attach the Blade mount to C mount (step 3). However there are 4 C screws for 4 brackets, so it can't be C. D is for Radions (and D is not shown in Radion diagrams at all!). I think they mean to use E, it's the only ones left, but E is also TOO LONG! Am I missing something or is this a mess??

yes I also found the combination of instructions for this setup to be a bit confusing, so don't worry I'll help sort you out

the C-bracket has its own hardware, it should have the 2 screws that mount the Hydra Edge 44HD to it, here are its instructions: https://support.aquaillumination.com/hc/en-us/article_attachments/42290969712919

screws D and E from the hybrid mount instructions are not used for this at all so you can set them aside

mount the C-bracket to the HMS arm using the "attaching top tilt" section in the C-bracket instructions I linked above

all 4 screws (C) are used to attach the plastic clips (A) to the brackets (B)

attach the two hybrid mount brackets (B) to the C-bracket using the two silver screws that came with the C-bracket. Reference my picture to visualize if needed

attach the Hydra Edge 44HD to the C-bracket last, using the two large black screws that came with the C-bracket

the blade(s) just snap into the mount clips (A)
