Good morning.

I bought an aquacultured dry rock for my display. Its a good size peice. What are the thoughts of just adding it vs seeding it? Attached is whats in the tank now. A good amount. Some will be removed for the new peice.

Should a peice this size be seeded first before adding to avoid tank crash or will it be fine?

What gets removed, can it be placed in your sump?

What is the algae on your sand?
Id be pulling around 10 to 15 lbs of the 40 lbs of rock thats in the tank.

It wont fit in the sump. Its to big.

Algae is diatom.. Ive been battling some Cyno as well but i feel i finally have it in check. Had a phosphate spike.
