Everything I’ve read has said to not add a nem until the tank is at least 6+ months old. If the tank has stable parameters and have remained stable for several weeks, what is the reasoning for still waiting?

Your tank is subject to spikes (ammonia-nitrate-alk)
What test kits are you using ? If it’s api brand- notorious for false readings and zero readings. Take a water sample to a trusted LFS that does not use api kits and have them test the water for you and see what results they come up with

ive posted this on another thread but i’ll give you my experience.

I bought a baseball sized BTA 2 months after my initial set up. fast forward 2 and a half years i have 3 the size of dinner plates. Not saying you should do the same thats just my personal experience. Mine have survived some harsh speed bumps in my tank that a lot of my SPS couldnt.
