I'm not new to the Nicrew lights, but added a 150w hyper reef to my 40g breeder build. The PAR in air falls off to 42 to 44 on the corners with 100 on the bottom under the light, all this changes with water added. The light is capable of 225 to 300 on the sand, but I have them 25 inches (max adjustment) off the bottom. Running 80% blue and 25% white I thought it would cover it decently but I don't want it any higher because this is a LPS tank. I do have two 50w hyper reefs that I could add to cover the corners/ends to bring up the PAR there. Would look like just one big light if I did, plus I need one more 0-10 cable for that. Any info on folks who happen to run this light on a 40B.

If you have sps, I'd use 2 like you said.
Can you messure the par after 2nd light installation?

If it's only LPS, id think you would notice quick if corals were not happy with low par.

A s for light spread, you can't do much without a 2nd light.
