I have four ocellaris clowns in a 40g tank. They were all getting along fine for a few months, but as of yesterday it seems like the 3rd largest one got kicked out. The two bigger ones seem to bully him until he goes into hiding. The smallest one still is able to hang around the #1 and #2. Any advice? Should I move 3 and 4 into their own tank?

Sounds like your clowns are starting to pair up. It's hard to keep a group of clowns once they're no longer juvies. Your best bet is to remove #3 and #4 into their own tank to avoid having your other clowns potentially kill them.

After months of research it always results in "mature clowns RARELY get along with more than 2 even in a massive system."
