Hello everyone,
I need some much needed advice. I am moving in a month from Tennessee back to Florida. I moved Saltwater Aquariums before but only moves that were 30 minutes away. This move will be a drive of 10-12 hours, depending on when I depart and/or traffic.
Has anyone on here ever make a long distance move with Saltwater fish?
I have about 50 fish. The biggest a juvenile Lionfish, 8 in. Vlaminji Tang, 8 in Rabbit Fish, all the way down to small Blue Damsels, Anthias, and Clownfish. All the other fish are in between this.
They are all coming from 3 Aquariums.
I have looked into Shipping overnight, but from pick-up, airport, flying, sitting at airport again, and shipping to the destination, I will be a lot faster just driving them.
What are best practices?
What containers/bags did you use?
Also any other helpful info you can share to ensure the health of the fish?
I plan on going to Florida a week early to set rhetorical tanks back up, and get them ready for the fish to ease the stress.
And, what should I use as temporary housing for the fish, without breaking the bank.
Thank you all so much in advance.
