right now I have a red sea wavemaker & so far every powerhead has failed I am currently running 1 maxi jet (mod) 2 koralia evo 1050 & 1 koralia evo 1400. (none on the wavemaker now) they are about 1/2 way down & aimed towards the top I have tried them all over the tank & aimed different ways this seems to be the best nice top agitation & a vortex that swirles water down the center almost to the bottom but this leaves the sides not getting enough circulation, so I'm using the good ole turkey baster everyday to keep the rocks cleaned. I have been thinking about getting the Sicce voyager pumps (gotta like that 5 year warranty) I like how you can change the flow pattern with them. I was thinking that would help getting more even flow thru the tank. so if I go with them do you all think I should get the 3 (1200gph) or the 4 (1600gph)
my tank is sps & fish 36x24x24 95 g or any other suggestions? kinda tired of getting powerheads that aren't doing the job & for some reason I always seem to pick the wrong thing lol help or suggestions welcomed!:squigglemouth:

I tried two Voyagers and sold them to buy Koralia Evolutions. They consumed over twice the electricity, were twice the size as a comparable Evo and the brackets and mounting sucked, every time I touched them they fell off the brackets and it took both hands to reattach them.

Evos should not fail on a controller or timer. My two 1400's have been over a year and a half now switching every 30 seconds and going strong.
Hydor Evolution 1400

well I thought they wouldn't fail either I had the original koralias & they failed so when the evos came out I switched they lasted just at one year then all failed within 2 weeks dunno why they were clean I have tried to get them to work but every time the wavemaker cycles they start chattering & run in reverse there was a thread on here where others had the same problem
anyone else have the voyagers???? any other wavemaker compatible powerheads I should consider

email Hydor customer service, they will send you new parts to repair the Evos free of charge. If they are running backwards the front grills are cracked and the rubber bumper is missing, easy fix.
