Hi all. Been out of hobby for 10 years and decided to get back in and looking for some advice. I picked up a used Waterbox 60.2 off Facebook. Was a running system. Having some regrets due to picking up someone else’s algae and aptasia problems. The tank has some Zoas and mushrooms. Thinking of fragging them and placing in a rack as I want to rescape the tank. So questions are what would you do.
Option is to buy some life rock and make new scape, placing old rock in sump and cycling.

Is it possible to keep corals/ softies in frag rack. Replace all sand and rock with new? I bought some bio balls and placed in sump to try and get some bacteria on them.

thoughts and what would you do?

Yeah, that’s not an easy choice. I would be inclined to buy dry rock, build a structure I want, then remove the rocks. If possible, save the few corals that are there but otherwise start over. The sand would get a good wash before reuse. JMO
