advice

so, I'm back here on this forum after a very brief hiatus. thought I would join a local forum and boy what a mistake! I do not understand why people on these fosums think their way to do setting is the only way and if you do not follow their advice then you are seriously messing up.anyone heard of an *******. this is a term the moderators of this local forum have put at the bottom of their pages. it means "a person who asks for advice and then does the opposite". I can ask for advice and when you give it to me its my choice to follow or not. I have seen this happen on this forum also, but not to the extent on this other forum. guess my point is give advice when asked and move on. what works for you may not work for me.

You will find that on ALL forums , however alot of Local clubs are like that, there is a select group who hang out and think they know everything , once you make one simple mistake you will find they will do everything they can to get you banned or make you leave. However remember there trollers and such that make it their point to make you feel dumb. I will tell you on this forum you have those but a majority of people on here are willing to help you out at all time. Heck there was a guy who I never talked to on here got a light like mine, saw I had one from my signature. He asked me some questions and my timing schedule. I had no issues giving that to him, even taking my son down at his bedtime to do so. You will find that again a majority of people here will help without question. And to the original point not ALL local reef clubs are like that. But I have seen my fair share.

Hey nobody knows it all. WHat I do is take the advice from each giving and determine the logic next step.

Also many around here will not treat you like that and the ones that do are TROLLS!

yeah thats why I'm back. and ya'll are absolutely correct. New things come about by looking at the way its done now and changing it up a bit. believe me when I say, those who know it all scare the you know what out of me! glad to be back ya'll
