Plan on doing another water change and manual algae removal this week and while doing that I'm going to move the tank out from the wall to repair the drywall and baseboard heat

Hope to do some mock plumbing for the sump this week as well!!! If you noticed I have the ghost overflow with the 3 drains that is waaaaaayyyyyy too big for what I'll need on this 35 gallon tank but I did that on purpose so I could utilize the Bean Animal overflow design.... I had tried doing a HOB overflow forever ago and it was too loud for the wife's taste and back on my old 55 RR I tried the Herbie and other versions and could never make it quiet enough for her so I figured I'd do the Bean version as every Bean version I've heard in real life is 100% quiet...

sorry that you lost interest in the tank, the same thing happened with my 20 long planted it looked similar just more green.

Snapped a few pictures last night before bed when the tank cleared up and actually looks amazingly good compared to before the water change! Still too much algae but I'll try and tackle that this week!

How she looked back on May 31 2024... Little full of it but not too bad considering I basically left it alone for 2+ years other than keeping the ATO reservoir filled up and feeding the 3 fish

Picked up a new SLW-20 and ATO... Don't mind the increadibly ghetto-fabulous setup I am waiting to finish that section of the basement and want to build a custom L shaped desk that can hold the tank, sump, 2+ 3D printers and a laptop...

Had an awesome local club member lend me a light when I picked up some white worms to restart my culture that obviously dies after 2+ years of doing nothing! I had cycled the tank with the assistance of Dr Tim's One & Only along with the live sand and the various items I added from my current tank I did a fishless cycle in about 2 weeks.
He lent me the light as I was on my way to pick up the powerhead and ATO at another local members house and just had to get a few zoas frags!!!

Yesterday was the big move! Had all day off and transferred 6 or 7 snails after I cleaned them off with the tank toothbrush (figured if they lasted 2+ years they were pretty sturdy) and then cut all the softies with a razor blade and put plastic toothpicks through them to mount with CA glue...
The 2 clowns were easy to scoop up but the Orchid Dottyback was a royal pain in the you-know-what!
