Hey guys, so I was watching my QT today and got the idea maybe try something new with a FOWLR tank because there are just so many beautiful fish you can't keep in a reef tank. The only thing I'm unsure about is the filtration...are there skimmers for 10 gallon tanks or what would you suggest?

Most people suggest skipping skimmers on the nano tanks , guess they don't work efficiently. I was checking out a few for my biocube 32 recently..heavily stocked
Eshoppes makes a smaller one for 10 - 30 gallon you might be interested in.

I'll look but what do most people use for filtration?

Most use simple filter floss for the heavy solids aka flake foods and chemical treatment usually from a product like chem pure thats in a pouch. Many forms of secondary filtration depends on your stock.
My bc 32 only has floss , a bag of chem pure elite . I started running a macro algea like cheato refugium to help nutrients ( no skimmer) . Its worked really well. Ive started looking at nano skimmers like an Ice cap or Eshoppes for finer filtration cause I feed heavy and have 6 small fish...

Filter floss or sock, carbon or chemipure an ATO and weekly water changes are all you need for a 10g imo. Simplicity is key.
