The yellow tangs really started beating each up! ;Hurting I was forced to separate them for the remainder of their QT:eek:. 1 was in really bad shape from a wound and had a bacterial infection at the base of his tail.I started antibiotics (kanaplex and neoplex) and it is all healed up now. They have finished the 14 days of GC+ Focus soaked food and Just 3 more days of copper treatment. Last will be 2 rounds of Prazipro followed by an observation period before release into gen pop.

Looks like he's doing great!
When I first got him from LA I wondered if he’d survive. He was stuck in shipping over the 4th of July and was in the bag for right around 70ish hours before I got him.

It was my lesson in not ordering fish to arrive the day before a holiday.

That would've been super scary! Glad he made it and looks fantastic!

My coral inserts were looking pretty rough. Between the cyano, GHA, and fish waste build up it was needing some cleaning.
Here is a little before and after pics.

And here we are now. This tank is a year old. It was filled October 5th of 2018.

Short update video. Yellow tangs have been in the DT for a week and a half. Had a couple days of fighting between the 4 of them then it let up. Still the occasional chase but mostly calmed down and settling in. Very little aggression from the older residents.

Is this tank still up and running? I'm curious how the InstantReef inserts performed and if they are recommended. Particularly the cleaning part....
