Aggressive Female Flame Wrasses

I've had 3 females and a male for close to 2 years in a 90 gallon. All of a sudden two of the females have started acting super aggressive towards the 3rd. Relentless chasing throughout the tank. If it keeps up I'm pretty sure death will be the end result. Any idea why this sudden change in behavior would occur?

Maybe they sense shes not healthy enough? Just a guess.

Well the one I got from you chased the other one I had all the time. Do not think it would have caused death but more aggressive then I thought they would be together.

Maybe it has something to do with you. LOL

I have no clue really bud good luck with it. One of mine turned into a male and I sold it to a friend. In fact she still chased him even after he turned into male.

They are all healthy established fish. They are all about the same size, it may be like a millimeter difference. If they were all side by side, I'd have a hard time telling the difference.

I am going to tag along - I have three females and of my females is hiding, whats interesting is that one of my larger females is hiding and I have found that the male chases it around. The other two females are behaving okay with it. The female thats hiding eats well but it stays in one corner of the tank.

I'm really not sure what caused the sudden aggression but you can try catching the other two females and put them on time out for a week and re-introduce them in the tank... this will help the female being chased around recuperate and re-introduction of the other 2 females should keep them from being aggressive towards the other... good luck... :)
