I'm trying to mount my 48inch AI blade grow but I keep reading conflicting accounts of how to do it. It looks like the light does not include mounting hardware, but maybe I'm wrong? Seems odd to me it wouldn't come with parts to actually install the product in the tank.

Does anyone know an easy way to mount the light?

The 48” include the mounting clips. What do you want to attach it to? I hung mine from stainless steel rods I put inside my canopy.

I used the Radion-AI mounting bracket’s. But you can use those brackets to attach to other things.

I've read the elevated tank mounts do not work for anything longer than 39". I was planning to use the elevated tank mounts originally.

Is there a set of mounting arms I am supposed to get? The ones I found online from AI are only for rimless tanks. I have a standard 75 gallon rimmed tank. There isn't much guidance on how to install it.

Is hanging not an option? Or using the Ecotech or AI tank mount not a option? They both can fit on a rimmed tank, see my second photo.
Hanging isn't an option as my ceiling is like 45 feet up.

Can you link the AI product you're referring to? I can't find anything that is for a rimmed tank. I did buy one that said it was for both rimmed and rimless. It arrived yesterday and it does not fit. . When I reached out to the vendor, they said it's only designed for rimless tanks.

These are 12” Blades. I had to buy the mounting clips that yours should come with. I used a Current Orbit mount and attached them. You could easily do something similar with two mounting arms.

I wonder if the 3 piece Orpheck mount would work

Thanks. This is exactly what I bought (two of them for my 75 gallon). They don't fit in my tank, the mounting clips aren't wide enough to get over the tank rim. When I asked the company they said it's only for rimless tanks. So I'm looking for other options.

What is the width of the of the rim. I have a few different arms and I can measure them for you

Just under 1.5 inches
Wow, ok. will see what I can come up with. Also as a note in my second photo, the arms sit on the rim of the tank. I do not have any clamping, but you can clamp, I just do not need the other half. For you, you can use a longer bolt if needed. The Radion arms are pretty stout, I seen them on 4-5 ft tank before.

Bump.

I'm open to different mounting options. I do not have a canopy.

Thanks. I think I figured it out. There’s a guy who 3D prints adapters. It should arrive in a couple days.
