If I put an AI Blade frehwater 12" on a UNS 45L (45x17x17cm, ~18x7x7") any idea if I could push ~350+ PAR in the first ~5-10cm (2.5-4") of water? I'm wanting to plumb this into my large system to use as a clam viewing tank, so it'll need high PAR. Two of them would take up too much "top angle" view space so I was hoping to get away with one... @rtparty ?

I'm also open to suggestions for lights that come in silver or white and would work for this application! It's a bit of an awkward size to light with a 150w HQI pendant so not sure what to do if not the Blade. Maybe 3 each of the IM Pixel and paint them white? https://illumagic.tech/pixel/

I don't want to interfere with 'top down' viewing space and I don't want a lot of light spill, a tough call for this application!

If I remember correctly, my freshwater Blade put out over 500 PAR on my chaeto. That’s just going off memory though. I didn’t test it in water however

I still have the FW Blade as it never sold so I could hook it up and open air test it. I’ll need a few days to get the time if that works

I have a 20" version getting 200 par at about 10" deep. Its set at 62% intensity. Its been almost a years since I checked par output but im pretty sure I can hit 350+ at that depth if I crank it up to 100%.

Thanks guys, I think you're right - finally got water in my new CADE 1800 with 5 blades, even with the blues down to 60% PAR is ~550 in the 10-20cm range, so pretty sure they'll do the job!
