I recently picked up a really nice colorado sunburst and was wondering if anyone has these under primes and if so what settings are they using. For reference, it is the only resident in a 20g cube under a single ai prime. Mainly looking for that crazy color pop, I know they need really high par but I don't want to max everything and fry it if I am wrong. Thanks guys I would appreciate your help!

I have a 20 cube but under hydra 52hd. My Colorado is in the same exact spot as yours lol. My max settings are
UV: 60
V: 60
RY: 60
B: 53
G: 17
DR: 5
CW: 9

My settings are a little high for the anemone, I keep high par for sps/maxima clam. but I’ve kept colorados under many different settings and they do fine. some like high par, some low. It’ll decide where it wants to go. Just don’t mess with your lighting setting once it’s setup. careful with the UV and V settings on the prime 16 because they’re known to melt lenses. Maybe try out
UV: 70
V: 70
RY: 100
B: 100
G: 10
DR: 10
CW: 30
it would give the anemone good options of light intensity to choose from. You can change the RY:B ratio and how much CW depending on what color temp you like.

For reference, Elite Reef keeps theirs at 250-350 par and have beautiful coloring. BRS did some par testing with the AI Prime 16. They found the optimal spread was at 10” mounting height. To keep par 75-150 these were the settings. They said the prime was incapable of lighting a majority of the tank to sps levels (which is about where you want your nem) so I wouldn’t worry about turning it up too high other than melting the lenses. If you have access to a par Meter it would make things easier.

I use the David saxby and then modified it to what my tank requires. I’ve had bubble tips for ages, just basic green ones, but have spawned close to ~15 over the years with these lights. Also growing a variety of sps but they’re directly under the primes, and I have a viparspectra 165w to help with coverage that I match the spectrum/intensity of the primes with.
