Currently have a reef breeders type led off ebay. Seems like it is wayyyy to much might. I have it set at like 20% white/colors and 40% blue. My frogs pawn had to be moved in the shade to open. And stylo is just starting to open. Before I turned the light down the stylo would only extend polyps on the underside of the coral.

So how would an ai prime hd work over the nuvo 40? Anyone have this light? Thoughts on it? Or other recommendatios?

I just set up a 40 with 2 AI prime non HD. I wouldn't be comfortable growing much with just one prime because of the depth of the tank. Lots of shadowing with just one. 2 seems about perfect.

+1 you'll need 2 fixtures. I would keep the light you have and acclimate

I'm with squid. Your current lighting will be plenty. Just need to acclimate your corals to the light. Turn them way down and just increase by a few % once a week or so.

Btw, any pics of your tank? Looking for inspiration, literally just set mine up. How up like it so far?
