I have an extra AI Prime HD sitting around and my sump’s refugium chamber is empty. I figured why not try growing some chaeto. I already have a tennis ball size of chaeto from another tank. I took the chaeto and used fishing line to attach it to an extra piece of rock. Now to figure out the spectrum setting on the Prime. I know Kessil’s refugium light is supposed to be more pinkish/purple. Has anyone else used a Prime HD as a refugium light? If so, can you please share your spectrum settings. Any other suggestions are welcomed.

I have not used a Prime on a huge yet, but from studies I have red (and looking at lights), I would assume you would need full red, some royal blue, close to full green, and some white.

Maybe @Dana Riddle might have some spectrum suggestions.

The AI unit I got from Chris years ago doesn't function now, so I can't make a comment on that specific luminaire. With that said, the most growth I've seen with Chaeto was a warm white LED (so a blue spike with tri-phosphors for some green and red.)
