In the back on my fluval m60 there are 3 compartments to the sump. Fluval provides a cover for the second and third. This design is set for the protein skimmer in the first compartment. Is it more efficient for the water to go through the filter media then the skimmer? Or the other way around, through the the skimmer then media?
