AIO Tank ATO Sensor Placement

Can I place the ATO water level sensor on a baffle in the pump chamber? All of the glass in the filter chambers is black except for the baffles, so that is my only option if I want to keep the sensor out of the display. My concern is that there will be a continuous flow of water over the sensor falling into the final pump chamber. I've never used an ATO before so maybe this is a dumb question.

I will be using a Tunze Osmolator 3 Nano by the way.

You can't have a flow of water over it. It will start satisfied and never top off.

Why can't you put it on black glass? Mine is on. Black glass in an AIO tank and works perfectly. (Not tunze but an optical ato nonetheless)

I just assumed black glass wasn't an option for placement... upon further consideration it has been a long day and I am dumb. You are right. Thank you.

You need to put your ATO sensor in the same chamber as your return pump. That water level in that chamber is the one that fluctuates, not any of the other chambers.
