My display tank has maybe one or two little aiptasias but I believe my peppermints might be keeping them in check. My refugium however is rocking some pretty huge aiptasia specimens . I have a peppermint shrimp down there but maybe he leaves them alone? I love my refugium as I can see pods everywhere and also because my DT is algae free. My question is
Does anyone else keep a good amount of aiptasia in the sump while not having them overrun the display?

I have been having some pop up in my DT. when I can get to them , I net them out and put in my sump. I don't have anything that eats them and I hate killing them, even if they are considered a pest. No issues here and the keep sump cleaner IMO

Wow I wouldn't have expected this response . Very interesting . I hear they are filter feeders after all. Thanks

Also I don't think they could make it back up to the display as the return pump impeller would most likely kill them in the process
