Hi I auto dose alc and calc have been for years
Recently I put 2 new heaters in my sump chamber and removed old heaters .. this is what I found (see pics) i scooped all this debris from bottom of sump ... plus my heaters I removed are a mess although the titanium is fine
So as I said I dose alc and calc directly into this chamber ... not much it’s auto dripping periodically through the day ... could the alc and calc be reacting with each other forming this garbage that looks and feels like plates of rust ?

How’s the sand in your tank? Is it calcified?
