Afternoon all,

Looking for some advice r.e. Algae; I haven’t been terribly well of late so my tank hasn’t been getting the full scope of TLC, and this stuff has slowly become more prolific.

It’s very much carpeting type and seems to want to grow through the sand, which makes manual removal a challenge. One of my goby’s keeps spitting sand everywhere, hence the snowlike finish.

Any tips alongside manual removal to try and get it squashed? With the sand and crevices, manual just doesn’t cover it.

Thank you.

Freshwater filter only or is it? Have you ever used an HOB filter on a saltwater tank?
