I have an algae issue on one side of my tank/sand only. Is this normal, or could there be an issue with one of the lights? I am using 2 radion xr15 pros, which should have identical settings. I am also using 2 reefwave 45 gyre pumps mounted at the top-back, pointed to the front & slightly down. Both have fluctuating flow patterns, but the same max speed and direction. Thanks!

This might be cyanobacteria. It might not be light intensity favoring local growth. How is the current in the aquarium? Is the green spot slow or fast current?

The current is pretty good, although I keep the gyres at 60% max. The corals on that side move well and when I feed, it all flows down and eventually to the back. Nothing settles to the bottom.

It was a shot in the dark. Corners can be places where suspended matter falls to the sand because the current does an about face there and slows
