oh no i dont think its that because the stocks are not that large and it doesnt have a root system like the caulerpa does... but the pictures showed what started to happen after a week of using the kent tech M, the tips of the stems began to blacken, and it also started receding a lil i think (from what the pictures showed)... lol but 2 days after those pictures i pulled almost all of it out because i figured if its beginning to die off i mine as well help it out a lil and pull most of it off.. doesnt seem to be growing anymore and i noticed the tips that were left turning black.. so ill keep the mag levels up until i can be for sure its all gone..

so its definitely not all gone, ive been dosing the same amount everyday(7.4ml).... and a week and a half ago i tested the mag levels and it was at 1500 but i did a water change last week just 4g out of a 29g but i think that is what screwed me cuz now im all the way back down to 1400 and it has came back... i guess im going to keep dosing and hopefully it dies off within in this lifetime. =[

also those watermelons that started bleaching at the mouths, well this is what they turned into a week later... they still have green skirts but turned black every where else.. and those other polyps wont open back up, my other polyps all seem to be doing fine.. some polyps dimmed down a bit and some brightened up..

yea you have to up the mag in your change water or it messes it up.

thats terrible about the outbreak, but wouldn't tangs as mention eat this and find out why it started to grow. maybe i missed read somewhere but i figure run some phosphate remover. or try and find out why its growing, like a nutrient source. hope your zoas come back. good luck.

i gave it a double dose that day after the water change but i guess that did help.. just got to raise it back to the right levels so i can be done with this already. lol

First off sorry you are having such an outbreak, I know first hand how discouraging it can get. I myself battled this "Chuck Norris of Algae's" and beat it. As mentioned with the Kent Tech M. One thing I am gonna toss out there is by just dosing per the instructions it's gonna take alot of days to get you up in the right levels of mag. Raising it per instructions yield's about a 128ppm gain over the course of a week, and that is if none of it is used up by the tank. I was dosing my tank to gain about 50ish ppm per day and BRS's site said don't raise mag more then 100ppm in a day. Once I got it up to there the green just started melting away with the quickness, there was no"I think it's working" about it. I first tried to raise it with BRS's bulk mix and it just laughed at me, did a bunch of WC's to bring it down after ordering the kent, put the kent in and within about a week and a half after high mag lvls it was gone. GL and hang in there.

Yeah if you google lettuce slug and Bryposis - you will see there have been many people that have tried them. They can be hit or miss but many have had it work...i have even bounced around the idea of trying them.

lol ill tell you what im willing to try anything to get rid of it at this point.. i think i recently saw them for sale at coral corral, i should of grabbed it but i thought they would only eat hair algae.

Give it a shot and let me know how it goes! I can feel your pain...i have a few small areas that i have been battling too.

Instructions say 1ml per gallon gets you a 18.3ppm gain so just use a little more then dbl of what you are dosing now and you should be good. Just remember to shake the crap out of the bottle every time right before pouring the dose out of the jug. There seems to be an element that settles out really fast. I pour mine into a clear cup and if I leave it sit there is sediment in the bottom after a very short period of time. I saw no ill effect to any of my corals, my snails slowed down abit though. GL!
