Hello Everyone,

So this 40g aquarium is roughly 4-5 months old now and I also have a custom 30g sump. I just got home from a 3 week sail and this is what my aquarium looks like green and bright red algae and lots and lots of hair algae. Ugh it's disappointing. Any tips on how to get rid of it all ?.... I have my 2 AI Prime light turned down I have zoas and polyps so blacking out the tank isn't a option, I use rodi water and over feeding isn't a problem. Should I dose with vibrant and or run some GFO ?

What are your parameters at? Cant really help if we dont know the parameters.
Do water change, manually remove as much of the algae as u can, or syphon it out. The red algae can be blown away with a Turkey baster or pipette. Vibrant is a good product to start with. But if u dont find the source, it could just come back.

Green cyano and is a bacteria rather than an algae. Verify your phos and nitrate levels to see if theyre elevated.
Reduce white light intensity for a few days and add some Nassaius and trochus snails and a ferw Blue leg hermit crabs.3
iF phos and nitrate are high, consider a water change and then add a pouch of chemipure Elite
